UPMC Williamsport is hiring a Graduate Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit team on a night shift as part of the Journey to ICU Program. The role focuses on building a solid nursing foundation in a high-acuity setting with close supervision and mentorship.

Participants will begin on the PCU and have the opportunity to interview for a transition into our ICU after one year, with support for clinical development and patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate RN program participation required.
• Nursing license or eligibility may be required on completion of program.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains professional relationships with patients and colleagues, prioritizes safety and workload.
• Delivers high‑quality nursing care while applying critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Participates in ongoing education and quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with the care team to coordinate transitions between PCU and ICU levels of care.
