The Graduate Nurse in the Ortho Trauma Spine Unit at Allegheny General Hospital is responsible for providing care to patients with complex orthopedic and trauma needs. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to develop their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

• Schedule: Full-time, 72 hours every two weeks with rotating weekends and holidays

What You'll Do

• Demonstrate clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provide safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally direct and manage the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assess learning needs of patient and family and provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Education:
• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Current RN License in Pennsylvania
• CPR certification required
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 Criminal Background Clearance Certificates required
