Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an experienced registered nurse to deliver high-quality inpatient care using the nursing process. The role requires assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and coordinating with the care team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state and demonstrates growth mindset in professional development. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire, with a BSN preferred for advancement within our nursing

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state where services will be provided.
• Multi-state RN license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) preferred.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire date.
• Temporary or Graduate RN permit acceptable as required by the state board.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Apply nursing process and independent judgment in care delivery.
• Assess patient data to identify age-specific needs across the lifespan.
• Collaborate with the health care team to deliver coordinated care.
• Document patient information and participate in performance improvement activities.
