Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a nursing assistant to work under an RN preceptor, completing patient care assignments and supporting daily clinical operations.

You will participate in the nursing process to identify care goals, address discharge teaching needs, and help maintain a safe, efficient patient care environment. The role is full-time with 7:30am–6:00pm shifts at the Michigan Bay City location.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of nursing program by start or transfer date.
• Will be required to take the State of Michigan Licensure Examination within 60 days of your hire or transfer date.
• If RN Licensure is not obtained, GN would require employee to apply for and be accepted into another position within thirty (30) days or employment is terminated.
• BLS and/or Canadian equivalent by American Health Association or Red Cross Certification

• Demonstrates competency and knowledge in performing basic skills. Responds to real or simulated emergency and disaster situations according to established procedure.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
