Job summary

The Allegheny General CTSICU unit at Allegheny General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to provide specialized care for post-surgical ICU patients, including those with advanced devices. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform nursing assessments, and implement care plans from admission through discharge.

Required qualifications include PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure, current CPR, and background clearances.

THE UNIT

The Allegheny General CTSICU is 24 beds with all single occupancy rooms. The Unit provides post-surgical ICU care to cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients. Nurses are trained to scrub and circulate on the floor, as well as provide support and treatment to patients with mechanical circulatory devices (VAD, ECMO, Impella, balloon pump). The unit is proud to be a Platinum Level ECMO Center of Excellence and holds the Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification (C4).

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification
