About Us - Cardiology Unit

  • Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West
  • Cardiology is a fast-paced, high-energy, procedurally driven unit caring for patients with cardiac or vascular ailments
  • 45-bed unit focused on “anything and everything HEART!”
  • Bedside care is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, New Graduate Nurses, Unit Techs and Unit Secretaries

What You'll Do

Under the direction of professional RN's, systematically and continually assesses the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

Must obtain a Missouri Registered Nurse license or Registered Nurse license from a compact state within ninety (90) days after graduation or thirty (30) days after passing the NCLEX exam in a state other than Missouri. If obtaining a compact license it must be held in the Registered Nurse’s state of residence.
