Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor in DNP Nurse Anesthesia to teach at the graduate level, develop courses and curricula, and engage in research. Faculty will join the Marieb College of Health & Human Services and the School of Nursing, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

The role supports growth in a new academic building and interprofessional education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree with a Nurse Anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and NBCRNA certification.
• Three or more years of clinical experience in the CRNA role.
• Current unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse license in Florida or eligible for licensure.
• Current NBCRNA certification as Nurse Anesthetist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Teaches at the graduate level in the DNP Nurse Anesthesiology Program and related courses.
• Mentor students completing the DNP Project.
• Conducts clinical teaching, simulation labs, and advising.
• Contributes to scholarship and professional service to the university.
