Job summary

CalvertHealth is seeking a Graduate Nurse (GN) to provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN. The GN will apply the nursing process and perform delegated tasks in line with CHMC policies and state regulations.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program (AA, BSN, MSN) and BLS. The GN must be pursuing RN licensure and sit for the NCLEX within 90 days of hire; failure to pass NCLEX would preclude continued GN practice.

• May not continue practicing as a GN if NCLEX is failed.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (AA, BSN, or MSN).
• Registration/Certification/Licensure:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program. After successful completion of nursing boards and receipt of licensure, GN will move to RN role.

• New Graduate Nurse
• Other Requirements:
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• BLS Required
