Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY is seeking a Graduate Nurse (GN) to join its nursing team. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care and support to residents and gain clinical experience in a skilled setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate Nurse currently eligible for licensure in New York State.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Physical ability to perform frequent activity and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and services to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and clinical procedures as directed and within scope of practice
• Monitor resident conditions and accurately document care, observations, and outcomes
• Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians, nursing leadership, and designated family members as appropriate
• Receive and provide shift reports and conduct resident rounds to ensure quality care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident health and well-being
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure documentation reflects resident status and care provided
• Follow facility policies, infection control practices, HIPAA requirements, and safety procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Graduate Nurse currently eligible for licensure in New York State
