ByteDance in Seattle is seeking a Network Engineer Graduate for the 2027 Start program. This role offers hands-on experience in designing, building and operating ByteDance's global network at data-center scale.

Work with cross-functional teams across compute, storage and the ad platform to improve backbone, data center, cloud and edge networks. Strong networking fundamentals and willingness to learn are essential for success in this program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• Strong networking knowledge and OSI/TCP-IP fundamentals.
• Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, sFlow/NetFlow, Telemetry).
• Hands-on experience with network devices (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
• Good communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and optimize ByteDance's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive network innovation and evolution.
