Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited in Delta Junction, Alaska is seeking a Graduate Mining Engineer to assist the Mine Engineering team with operational and engineering requirements, following site procedures and working in office and underground workplaces.

The role reports to the Chief Mining Engineer and involves creating mining instructions, performing reconciliations, conducting inspections, developing short-term schedules, and participating in department meetings during a 15 day on/13 day off

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mining or related field.
• Strong familiarity with safety regulations and MSHA.
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create mining instructions for operational activities (development, drilling, blast plans).
• Conduct post-mining reconciliation reviews.
• Perform mine area inspections and report findings to senior staff.
• Develop short-term mining schedules and present to the team.
• Participate in department meetings and follow up on actions.
