Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited invites graduates to join the Graduate Metallurgist Program at our Alaska operations. The two-year program blends hands-on grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, leaching and filtering with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Eligible graduates will have a degree in Metallurgy/Materials or Chemistry. The role requires data analysis skills, strong Excel and MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. On-site camp living is part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Metallurgy/Materials or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a mill, mine or industrial setting is well regarded.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; extensive Excel skills required.
• Excellent data analysis skills.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Be able to pass a background check and post-offer physical.
• Ability to work unsupervised and display good problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a post-offer physical and drug test, plus background check.

Responsibilities

• Apply education in a gold processing environment as part of the Graduate Metallurgist Program.
• Learn from experienced professionals and contribute to grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, leaching and filtering unit operations.
• Spend time with operations, maintenance and mining departments to gain site exposure.
• Develop into a technical expert for Northern Star and the broader mining industry.
