Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited invites graduates for the Graduate Metallurgist Program at our Alaska Pogo operation. This 2-year program lets you apply your metallurgy education in a gold processing environment and learn from experienced professionals.

You will gain hands-on experience in grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, leaching and filtering while rotating with operations, maintenance and mining teams to understand full mine-site operations and future career paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree in Metallurgy/Materials or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a mill, mine or industrial setting is well regarded.
• Ability to work unsupervised and pass post-offer physical and drug tests, plus background checks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Graduate Metallurgist Program and apply education in a gold processing environment.
• Learn grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, leaching and filtering unit operations.
• Spend time with operations, maintenance and mining departments to gain full site understanding.
