Buro Happold is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Pittsburgh team. You will work with senior engineers on sustainable, innovative HVAC solutions and gain hands-on experience across a range of projects.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree, coursework in HVAC, and a willingness to learn within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. We offer hybrid working and opportunities to advance your career in a global practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering is required or related engineering degrees are acceptable.
• Coursework in HVAC design and related thermodynamics subjects is expected.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software such as Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC load modelling software is a plus.
• Internship experience at an engineering-related firm and interest in built environment are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out HVAC calculations using industry-standard software.

Your key duties

Your Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering preferred; however, candidates with related engineering degrees, such as Civil, Environmental, or Sanitary Engineering, are encouraged to apply
• Coursework in HVAC design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid hydraulics/dynamics.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software, such as Revit and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of HVAC load modelling software a plus
• Internship experience at engineering related firm preferred, and proven interest in the built environment
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

What We Offer

• Salary range of $75,000 to $78,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
