Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Pittsburgh is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to innovative, sustainable building services projects. You will gain hands-on experience while supporting climate action through design and optimization of HVAC systems.

The role involves performing HVAC calculations, producing technical drawings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering preferred; however, candidates with related engineering degrees, such as Civil, Environmental, or Sanitary Engineering, are encouraged to apply
• Coursework in HVAC design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid hydraulics/dynamics.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software, such as Revit and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of HVAC load modelling software a plus
• Internship experience at engineering related firm preferred, and proven interest in the built environment
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

What we offer

Salary range of $75,000 to $78,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
