Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Boston is seeking a motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. This role offers exposure to load analysis, system sizing, and calculations using Design Master and SKM, with a strong focus on sustainability and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.

We welcome applicants with a degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and an interest in building services and energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, and/or building systems design.
• Interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on the power side of the discipline.
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Internship experience at an engineering firm preferred; strong communication of technical ideas.

Responsibilities

• Using Revit, prepare technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
• Analyze load to determine system sizing, and assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
• Undertake detailed electrical engineering building services design and calculations with Design Master and SKM.

Your key duties

• Using Revit, prepare technical drawings, schedules, and reports

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, and/or building systems design
• Interest in the electrical engineering industry with an emphasis on the power side of the discipline
• Academic research, coursework, or other experience with alternative energy systems and other technologies new to the construction industry preferred
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software, such as Revit and AutoCAD
• Internship experience at an engineering related firm preferred, and proven interest in the built environment
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

What we offer

Salary range of $80,000 to $83,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
