Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown seeks a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and plumbing systems across commercial-grade projects in the Fort Worth area. You'll learn from engineers in training and professionals while handling design tasks and client coordination.

You'll grow technical skills in Revit/AutoCAD, cost estimates, and project management, with a path toward independent management of small mechanical design projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer in Training certification or the ability to receive within one year.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills - Connections are a critical part of how we work.

Responsibilities

• Design heating, ventilating, and air conditioning installations and underground steam, gas, and compressed-air utilities.
• Design constant volume and variable volume ductwork systems.
• Supervise the installation of the above equipment and utilities.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
• Learn to manage the mechanical engineering of small projects.
• Balance workload and varying requirements of multiple projects.
• Understand mechanical and plumbing system design and applications, can anticipate what systems are required for different projects.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with clients, consultants, owners, and internal staff members on projects.
