Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown seeks a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Fort Worth, TX to design HVAC and plumbing systems across industries. You will work with engineers-in-training and progress toward full project management of mechanical scopes.

Entry-level candidates with an ABET-accredited degree and an EIT or ability to obtain within a year are encouraged. Revit/AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required.
• Engineer in Training certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design heating, ventilating, and air conditioning installations and underground utilities.
• Design constant and variable volume ductwork systems.
• Supervise installation of equipment and utilities.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
• Learn to manage the mechanical engineering of small projects.
• Balance workload and varying project requirements.
• Understand mechanical and plumbing system design and applications.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, consultants, owners, and staff.
