Arup in Dallas is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer available in 2027 to help design HVAC systems for sustainable, high-performance buildings. Qualifications

Graduate Mechanical Engineer (Available 2027)

Our team consists of more than 20 mechanical engineers who support a diverse portfolio of projects across the healthcare, commercial properties, and data center sectors. We provide HVAC design and engineering services throughout all phases of project delivery, from planning and conceptual design through construction support. Our work includes system analysis, load calculations, energy-efficient design solutions, construction documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver reliable, high-performance building systems.

The opportunity

• Design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated solutions for complex buildings
• Perform engineering analysis and modelling, including whole building load calculations and energy analysis, façade thermal analysis, and airflow modelling.
• Communicate technical ideas to a broad range of audiences using various formats, including presentations and workshops

Is this role right for you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering examination; Membership in ASHRAE, USGBC, ASME
• Coursework in Energy/thermal modeling experience, Revit or 3D modeling experience and/or sustainability;
• Advanced computational modeling (e.g., CFD);
• AutoCAD or Revit drafting skills preferred;
• Internship experience in engineering-related firm preferred
• Developing interest in the built environment
• Courses in sustainability or USGBC participation preferred

• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts

Dallas Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Dallas is $73,500 to $80,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Dallas will differ.
