Job summary

Dominion Energy’s ET Planning team seeks graduate-level interns to support transmission expansion planning, ensuring reliability and meeting future demand, within the PJM RTEPP.

You will evaluate needs, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and help develop solutions for substations, data centers, and generator interconnections. Strong engineering background and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and current pursuit of master’s or Ph.D. in engineering
• 3.2 GPA minimum
• Fall 2027 or later graduation date

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating transmission system needs and developing expansion plans.
• Collaborate with ET Planning, Operations Engineering, Substation Execution teams and PJM.
• Support development of transmission solutions for new substations, data centers, generator interconnections.
• Contribute to regulatory processes and present findings.
• Prepare project scopes and presentations for approvals.
• Participate in PJM/regulatory meetings.
• Perform other duties to support team objectives.
