Job summary

OMW Consulting in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer. This post-sales role involves embedding with finance teams, wiring agents into customer systems, and delivering full deployments end-to-end. No revenue quota; success is measured by deployments completed and value delivered.

The ideal candidate is a strong generalist with backend/frontend/ML-adjacent skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously in ambiguity. Visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in forward-deployed/technical consulting or similar client-facing roles.
• Strong generalist engineering skills across backend, frontend and ML-adjacent work.
• Excellent communicator who translates technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customer teams and capture tribal knowledge to ensure correct work.
• Build and deploy agents tailored to each customer’s systems and edge cases.
• Coordinate 5+ stakeholder groups per deployment to drive fast value.
• Feed field patterns back into the platform roadmap.
• Present the product with sharp narration and demo pacing for each workflow.
• Run engagements solo after ramp-up.
