Job summary

Dewberry has an immediate opening in our New York, NY office for a Graduate Engineer - Mechanical Engineer with 1+ years of design experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire protection systems for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. The role focuses on assisting senior engineers in HVAC design and sustainable design to support energy efficiency in buildings.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to construction services, field surveys, and other engineering

Qualifications

• BSME degree from ABET accredited college or university.
• Experience with AutoCad MEP required; Revit MEP a plus.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Internship, part-time, or full-time experience in the MEP engineering industry is a plus.
• Strong academic technical background with good communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to commute into NYC and possess an active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in HVAC systems design, sustainable design and energy efficiency for buildings.
• Support design of plumbing and fire protection systems as needed.
• Assist with construction services, field surveying and related administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Focus will be on assisting senior engineers in HVAC systems design, sustainable design, and energy efficiency for buildings, however, this positionmay also include assisting with other building systems and the construction process in the various engineering disciplines practiced by Dewberry such as plumbing and fire protection systems design, construction services, field surveying and administrative duties.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $80,698-$83,198annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
