The City of San Marcos is seeking dedicated engineers to manage and oversee vital capital improvement projects. Have a degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering field? The City of San Marcos is hiring within our Engineering and Capital Improvements Department. This position manages capital improvements projects across various sectors, including water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, and airport improvements. These projects help develop the complex system that is San Marcos, enabling citizens and visitors to enjoy the city.

If you hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar degree) from an ABET-accredited university, you may qualify for our Graduate Engineer I position, starting at $73,500/year.
If you also have your EIT certification for Texas (or have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) and have 2 years of experience, you may qualify for our Graduate Engineer II position, starting at $80,500/year.
With your PE license (or if you meet all criteria for a PE), you may qualify for a Project Engineer position, starting at $90,000/year.
If you have your PE and 10 years of experience, you may qualify for a Senior Engineer position, starting at $100,000/year.
