Job summary

Graphcore seeks a recent graduate or early-career engineer to join the BMC Engineering team in Austin as a Graduate Firmware Engineer. You will develop low-level firmware supporting advanced compute systems in a Linux environment, with emphasis on testing, debugging, and lab bring-up.

You will collaborate with firmware, hardware, systems, and software engineers through the development lifecycle, contributing to CI/CD workflows and written design notes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in C or C++ and working knowledge of Python or scripting languages.
• Understanding of computer architecture, embedded systems, firmware, and low-level software concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, debugging tools, and version-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain system and embedded firmware in C, C++, or Python.
• Develop and validate firmware features from requirements through implementation and testing.
• Create automated tests and tools to improve firmware validation and coverage.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, software, and systems teams to resolve issues.
