Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Austin to design power distribution, lighting, and grounding for buildings and infrastructure. You will perform short circuit studies, lighting calculations with AGI, and assign circuitry while developing technical reports.

Joining a multidisciplinary team, you will work with other disciplines and vendors, gain exposure to Revit MEP and SKM, and grow through a supportive learning environment with strong place-based focus in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; EIT/FE preferred
• Interest in power systems within buildings and infrastructure projects
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing and in person
• Demonstrated initiative, creative problem-solving, and teamwork
• Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills
• Experience with Revit MEP, SKM, or AGI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and grounding for buildings and infrastructure projects
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies
• Carry out lighting photometric calculations using AGI
• Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices
• Produce technical reports and calculations
• Work on projects using Revit MEP and SKM
• Collaborate with other disciplines and vendors; participate in meetings and reviews
