Job summary

Pennoni in Philadelphia is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our MEP team. You will assist with the design of building electrical systems, perform load analyses, and prepare drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

You’ll coordinate with multiple disciplines and contribute to construction documentation across project phases. The role emphasizes technical communication, teamwork, and professional growth within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting project teams from schematic design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related technical discipline).
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software; experience with Autodesk Revit is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of building electrical systems under supervision.
• Perform electrical load analysis, voltage drop, short-circuit studies.
• Prepare drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support construction documents through schematic design to construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical with other disciplines to ensure integrated systems.
• Interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, IBC, IECC and local codes.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor questions.
• Conduct field investigations, site surveys and construction observations.
• Assist project managers with planning, reports, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with project team to develop communication and project management skills.
