Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Graduate Designer to support the design of building systems and prepare technical documents under supervision, with a strong focus on learning.

You will help review shop drawings, assist with engineering calculations, and collaborate with experienced staff on client-focused projects across mission-critical, education, healthcare and commercial sectors. Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field
• FE exam completion preferred
• Relevant internship experience preferred
• Familiarity with Revit and Bluebeam Revu preferred
• High technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documents under supervision by experienced staff
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications
• Assist with engineering calculations as directed
• Support business development or pursuit activities under direct supervision
• Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and scope
• Continually learn industry software and standards to improve design outcomes
