Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Summer 2027 Predictive Modeling & Data Science Graduate Internship to provide hands‑on experience in analytics, statistics, and machine learning. You will work with experienced data scientists and business partners to design, develop, and evaluate solutions that support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Interns gain practical experience across data exploration, model development, evaluation, visualization, and delivery of findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part‑time in an accredited college or university is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and internal/external constituencies in planning assignments and resolving day‑to‑day operations.
• Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with area objectives and receive guidance from senior personnel.
• Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs to meet objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
