Job summary

SDSU Research Foundation is seeking a Graduate Student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity to support BRSE program activities at NIWC PAC in San Diego. You will assist in pre-installation verification, security configuration, and production testing for BRSE software builds.

The role requires enrollment in a Master’s program, 20 hours/week, and residency in California. Duties include containerized software pipeline work, reporting, and compliance with DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the required discipline and enrollment in a Master's program.
• Must be able to complete at least 50% of tasks without supervision.
• Graduate study focus: CS/CE/Cybersecurity.
• Required coursework includes OS, Networking, Cybersecurity; Python and Bash as languages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-installation verification and security configuration for BRSE builds.
• Perform production baseline acceptance testing and data verification of BRSE HF apps.
• Configure forward error correction, compression, and delivery parameters for low data rates.
• Improve the production software pipeline with automated static scans and container updates.
• Submit monthly status and bi-weekly time reports.
