Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Site Design team in Austin, TX.

You will support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn our standard practices, and develop proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D while solving design challenges on schedule and within budget. You should have a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or be close to completion) and an Engineer-in-Training certificate or plan to obtain it within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
Engineer-in-Training certificate or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs and issues.
Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
Calculate quantities using Excel and prepare justification letters in Word.
Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans, plan and profiles, construction details, storm drain, water and sewer facilities, signage and striping plans.
