Job summary
Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn company practices and local codes, and develop expertise in AutoCAD Civil3D.
You will work on design exhibits, coordinate with agencies, prepare entitlement documents, and assist with construction drawings while pursuing a Professional Engineering license. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ability to obtain in 6–12 months
- Engineer-in-Training certificate or ability to obtain in 6–12 months
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software
Responsibilities
- Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D
- Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs, analysis, and issues
- Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
- Calculate quantities using Excel and draft justification letters in Word
- Assist with construction drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans, plan & profiles, details, storm drain, water and sewer facilities, signage and striping plans
