Apex Engineering Group seeks a Graduate Engineer to join our civil/environmental team in Dickinson. You will contribute to water and wastewater projects from planning through design and construction, and may serve as the owner’s on-site representative during construction.

You will work with project teams to develop plans, specifications, and reports, support business development, and grow into a lead role under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• EI certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5+ years as Civil/Environmental Engineer in water or wastewater.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Flexible working style; may modify schedules to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows/Office.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar CAD software is a plus.
• Experience with water distribution/collection system design is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required; office/site work as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional civil engineering services including planning, design, specs, plans, reports, construction observation and project management.
• Communicate updates and progress with supervisors and project managers.
• Attend company, project, and client meetings regularly.
• Assist with proposals and interviews; participate in business development as experience grows.
• Take initiative and make rational judgments.
• Serve as on-site RPR during construction.
• Work with Apex team to develop project plans and specs.
• Follow company CADD procedures and safety policies.
• Perform duties with detail and integrity, independently and in a team.
• Participate in professional organizations and community leadership.
• Occasional travel and overtime during construction season.
