Singhofen Halff has an immediate opening for an experienced Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Tampa, FL. The candidate must be able to work on projects closely with internal and external clients, perform flood risk education and planning, and design private and public stormwater infrastructure. Singhofen Halff seeks a skilled professional to work in a collaborative environment to create cost-effective, maintainable, and sustainable solutions for municipalities, governmental agencies, and developers. What you will do:

  1. Work under a Water Resources Team Leader on design projects for FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.
  2. Perform flood risk education, flood infrastructure planning, and design for stormwater infrastructure.
  3. Collaborate with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that support community growth and safety.
  4. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction throughout project delivery.
  5. Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

What you will need:

  • 0-3 years of experience in water resources/public works, with experience in channels design, storm drain analysis, watershed modeling, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and drainage planning. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or an ABET-accredited equivalent.
  • Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS preferred.
  • Familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and stormwater infrastructure design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, team-oriented, focused on quality, integrity, and success.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
