Job summary

Pennoni is hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC office on a full-time, direct basis. You will assist on multi-discipline site development projects (public & private) and support staff and project engineers through conceptual planning, design, permitting and reports.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with FE/EIT preferred and exposure to land development, water resources, and basic design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• FE/EIT preferred.
• Experience in land development or water resources is a plus.
• Experience with stormwater design or H&H modeling is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform site design including layout, grading, and utilities.
• Evaluate land development feasibility through site evaluations.
• Review local ordinances and state regulations for compliance.
• Assist design team with permitting and construction plans.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare permit applications and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with team and manage multiple projects as needed.
