The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong analytical and communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $80,000 annually, alongside comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of experience in land development design or construction management is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, organization and multi‑tasking skills.
• Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills.

The Impact You’ll Have

Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer at our Minneapolis office. As a Graduate Engineer, you will be part of a cohesive Land Development Engineering team and will work on a range of projects from residential communities for national and local developers to diverse commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Participate in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations
• Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines
• Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports
• Assist in preparing permit applications and coordinating with local and state agencies
• Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants
• Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired

Base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
