Job summary

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated and collaborative, capable of solving complex issues on time and within budget while pursuing professional licensure as an Engineer-in-Training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training certificate or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
• Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes and related items.
• Calculate quantities using Excel and prepare justification letters in Word.
• Assist with construction drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans, plans and profiles, construction details, storm drain, water and sewer facilities, signage and striping plans.
