Job summary

HTU is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist on multi-discipline site development designs for public and private projects. You will support staff and project engineers through planning, preliminary and detailed design, construction documentation, permitting, and reporting.

The role involves site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater considerations, and coordination with regulatory bodies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with greenfield/land development and/or water resource engineering.
• Experience with stormwater management design calculations and H&H modeling is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and project management software; exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
• Self-motivated with effective multi-tasking and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Support Staff and Project-level Engineers in conceptual/planning, preliminary design, detailed design, construction documentation, permitting documents, and engineering reports.
• Perform site design work including site layout, grading, and utilities-oriented tasks.
• Conduct site evaluations for land development feasibility.
• Review local municipal ordinances and county and state regulations.
• Assist in preparation of plans for permitting and construction.
• Perform design quantity take-offs and develop construction cost estimates.
• Prepare permit applications and engineering reports presenting technical information to demonstrate compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

About You

The company is looking for:

• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with greenfield/land development and/or water resource engineering projects.
