Job summary

Carl Albert State College, in collaboration with Northeastern State University, seeks a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Life. The two-year appointment supports graduate studies at NSU while gaining hands-on experience in Student Life at Carl Albert State College.

The GA will assist the Vice President of Student Life and Housing/Student Activities coordinators, handling office operations, event planning, and housing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Admission into a NSU graduate program by January 2027.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Student Life office and coordinate daily operations.
• Gather data and evaluate effectiveness of student life programs and services.
• Assist with planning, executing, and promoting Student Life events and activities.
• Support Residential Housing programs and needs.
• Perform duties as assigned by the VP of Student Life and Housing and Student Activities coordinators.

Position Type: 2-Year Graduate Assistantship

Carl Albert State College, in collaboration with Northeastern State University, is seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant position within the Office of Student Life. This is a two-year appointment designed for individuals pursuing graduate studies at NSU while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of Student Life at Carl Albert State College.

Responsibilities:

The Graduate Assistant will support the Vice President of Student Life as well as the Housing and Student Activities coordinators in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

• Providing administrative support to the Student Life office, including daily operations, office management, and communication.
• Gather data and evaluate the effectiveness of student life programs and services.
• Assisting with the planning, executing, and promoting of Student Life events and activities.
• Assist with Residential Housing programs and needs.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Life and/or Housing and Student Activities coordinators.
• Full tuition waiver for graduate studies at Northeastern State University
• On-campus room and board at Carl Albert State College (Housing availability is limited; family and married housing is unavailable. Couples accepted into the GA program may share accommodations.)
