Job summary

Western New Mexico University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support the Writing Center, Early Childhood Center, and Admissions outreach. The role includes academic service to students locally and remotely, tutoring via Zoom/Skype, processing applications, and assisting with program coordination.

You will work 20 hours per week for 17 weeks per semester, with tuition waivers and NM minimum wage stipends. On-campus location in Silver City, NM is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate student or postgraduate at WNMU.
• Ability to communicate courteously and professionally.
• Experience researching, compiling, and preparing reports.
• Familiarity with operating standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support Writing Center operations for local and remote students.
• Conduct Zoom/Skype tutoring and assist in tutor training.
• Assist with dual admissions outreach and duties across programs.
• Maintain accurate statistics and update the Writing Center handbook.
