Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Residential Education in the Department of Residential Life, Housing and Food Services. The role supports Ponderosa Village operations, including programming, staff supervision, and property oversight.

Under supervision, you will coordinate residential curricula, supervise paraprofessionals, assist in recruitment and training, and lead community outreach.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to an aid-eligible graduate program at the University of Nevada, Reno.
• Maintain a 3.0+ GPA and be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits.
• Work an average of 20 hours per week, including potential evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise or assist with supervision of paraprofessionals.
• Recruit, select, and train student staff.
• Promote restorative justice through educational conversations.
• Coordinate community programming and residential curriculum.
• Lead media campaigns and outreach for Ponderosa Village.
• Assist with move-in/move-out operations and desk housing tasks.
