Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH, invites applications for a graduate assistant, men’s soccer. This is a ten-month, two-year appointment, pending evaluation, part-time and reporting to the head coach.

The GA will recruit, assist program operations, manage equipment, help with fundraising, and coordinate study-table coverage, while upholding NCAA DII standards and fostering an inclusive education for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management or related field.
• Acceptance into a Lake Erie College graduate program required.
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics rules and regulations.
• Collegiate playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serves as recruiter for men’s soccer, identifying and evaluating potential students and coordinating with Admissions.
• Assists with organization of all program aspects, including coaching and facility, practice and team operations.
• Helps execute team fundraising efforts, including camps and clinics.
• Responsible for team-issued equipment and inventory.
• Assists with study table coverage and coordination for student-athletes.
• Promotes inclusive education and NCAA DII standards; acts as an ambassador for the College.
