The University of Rio Grande-Rio Grande Community College is seeking Graduate Assistants in the Athletics Department for the 2026-27 academic year. Responsibilities include supporting the coaching staff in managing collegiate sports programs across various sports.

This position provides free tuition, room and board, or $6,000 in lieu of room and board. Ideal candidates must be admitted to the graduate program while managing at least six credit hours.

Qualifications

The University of Rio Grande is seeking motivated individuals to serve as Graduate Assistants (GA) in the Athletics Department for the 2026-27 academic year. Graduate Assistants are provided free tuition, room, and board (or $6,000 in lieu of room and board) and are responsible for assisting the coaching staff to administer and organize all aspects of a collegiate sports program. Rio Grande is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) and competes in the River States Conference (RSC) for most sports.

Position Requirements

• Must be admitted into the graduate program and taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours per term
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required
• Travel will be required for this position to participate in scheduled practices and/or competitions
• Graduate Assistants may work a maximum of 27.5 hours per week
