## Description---**Graduate Assistant, Strength and Conditioning****Charleston Southern University**---**Summary**Charleston Southern Athletics is seeking a dynamic graduate student to work within the Strength and Conditioning department. The successful candidate should also have hands-on experience with various sport science technologies, such as Perch VBT, Vald ForceDeck and NordBord, as well as Catapult. The GA position will pay for 6 hours/semester and have a semester stipend. Charleston Southern is a Christian University. The successful candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, flexible, highly adaptable, and innovative while operating in a highly regulated and fast-moving environment. ---**Work Performed**The Graduate Assistant position will assist the CSU Strength and Conditioning Program in various areas. The position is critical in supporting Charleston Southern Athletics’ mission and vision by planning, organizing, and executing the daily operations of the CSU strength and conditioning department. * Instruct and develop student-athletes in weightlifting and running techniques.* Prepare and implement strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports; assist with CSU football strength and conditioning program, as well as other sports as needed.* Assist strength and conditioning program development, evaluation, and performance assessment throughout the season and offseason.* Promote program in a Christian environment.* Other duties as assigned---## Qualifications**Education**Bachelor’s degree required in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field. Accepted into Charleston Southern graduate school.---**Skills**Previous coaching experience in collegiate strength and conditioning. Candidate must be proficient in demonstration and coaching of the Olympic lifts.---**Certifications**Have or working towards certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
