Job summary

Humana is seeking a Graduate Analytics Intern to work on data-driven healthcare analytics projects at Humana’s headquarters in Louisville, KY, with opportunities at Ft. Lauderdale, FL and other hubs.

The role focuses on analytics, machine learning, NLP, and responsible AI practices to improve member outcomes. Ideal candidates are pursuing a master’s degree in a quantitative field, available for full-time 12 weeks from May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027, and must be able to work on-site 3-4 days per

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in a related field.
• Must be a full-time graduate student with an expected graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Available to work full-time 40 hours/week, on-site for the full 12-week internship from May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027.
• Willing to work in office 3-4 days per week at Humana’s headquarters or hub locations including Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical frameworks addressing healthcare business challenges and outcomes.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, modeling, and insight generation in health-related areas.
• Combine diverse data sources to identify actionable insights about members and care experiences.
• Develop predictive/prescriptive models supporting acquisition, retention, and quality improvement.
• Apply machine learning and NLP techniques to support responsible healthcare analytics.
• Create clear data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Document methods, limitations, and results clearly and reproducibly.
• Collaborate with partners across teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
