Job summary

University of Missouri-Saint Louis is seeking a Graduate Admissions Advisor to support prospective and admitted graduate students through the application, admissions, and enrollment phases. You will review applications, assist with admissions communications, and collaborate with program directors to resolve issues.

The role leads graduate student events and develops programs to boost engagement and retention, ensuring data integrity and smooth processes across the admissions cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Slate or a comparable CRM used in higher education admissions.
• Prior experience in graduate or higher education admissions, advising, or student services.
• Experience planning and executing student-facing events or programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for applicant-facing and program-director-facing work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across cyclical admissions deadlines and ongoing event planning.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Graduate Admissions Advising and Application Processing: review and process graduate applications in Slate, advise prospective and newly admitted students, and guide applicants through the process.
• Slate Support, Records, and Process Improvement: troubleshoot Slate issues, maintain confidential records, and support admissions data integrity.
• Graduate Student Events and Success Programming: plan and execute graduate student events, develop programs that promote engagement and retention.
• Campus Collaboration and Student Communication: collaborate with program directors and campus partners on reviews, communications, and event logistics, and maintain professional communication with students and staff.
