Walbec Group is seeking an Excavator Operator with grading experience to support utility and road projects across the Midwest. The role emphasizes safe operation, efficient site leveling, and collaboration with laborers and foremen.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in site prep/grading, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate loader and excavator. Union membership willingness is preferred, with HR support available for membership processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in site preparation and grading.
• Valid driver's license; Class A CDL desired but not required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate loader and excavator.
• Flexible hours including nights, mornings, weekends as needed.
• Willingness to join local Operators Union or be open to it.

Responsibilities

• Shape and level surfaces for utility and road projects.
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure materials and workflow stay organized and efficient.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and repairs.
