Job summary

J.C. Wilkie Construction, LLC is seeking a Grade & Pipe Utility Foreman to oversee grading crews in the Columbia/Lexington area of South Carolina. You will supervise site work, ensure precision in grading, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules.

The candidate should have 3+ years in site development and experience with storm, sewer and water installations, plus GPS/laser leveling proficiency and a strong safety mindset.Company benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of site development, grading and earthwork experience.
• Prior foreman experience in fine/rough grading preferred.
• Solid understanding of grading plans, blueprints and layouts.
• Skilled with GPS grading systems.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Valid Driver's License with clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the site grading crew across projects.
• Perform and oversee fine grading for pads, roads and areas.
• Experience laying Storm, Sewer and Water infrastructure.
• Ensure elevations, slopes and tolerances using GPS or laser tools.
• Coordinate daily work and align with project plans and schedules.
• Operate grading and earthmoving equipment as needed.
• Inspect work for accuracy, quality and specification compliance.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents and team.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and proper use of tools and materials.
