Job summary

C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking hardworking Grading/Utility Team Members to support site development and roadway prep. You’ll help install underground utilities and assist grading, working as part of a skilled crew to ensure safe, efficient performance.

The role involves outdoor work in South Carolina, following safety rules, and occasional nights/weekends based on project schedules. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are required. Training and a safety-first culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license is required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team
• Strong communication and safety record
• Willing to travel to SC job sites as needed
• Able to work nights or weekends based on project schedules
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks

Job Summary:
C.R. Jackson is hiring Grading/Utility Team Members to support site development and roadway preparation projects. In this role, you’ll help install essential underground utilities — including stormwater, water, and sewer systems — and assist with grading operations. You’ll work as part of a skilled crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality job performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with installation of stormwater, water, and sewer utilities
• Support grading operations using shovels, levels, and GPS equipment
• Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections
• Keep equipment clean and job sites organized
• Help with general housekeeping and other labor tasks as needed
• Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors
• Maintain a safety-first mindset and deliver high-quality work
• Comply with all company safety rules and procedures

What We’re Looking For:
