Job summary

Duininck Texas is seeking a Grading Foreman to directly supervise and coordinate grading crews on infrastructure projects across Texas and Oklahoma. This year-round, full-time role requires operating heavy equipment and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time performance.

You will plan daily activities, review time sheets, and communicate with maintenance and HR as needed. Travel and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience in heavy civil operations construction.
• Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from blueprints, surveys and job specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certifications highly recommended: Erosion and Sediment Control, OSHA, First Aid and CPR, Confined Space, Competent Person, Asbestos.

Responsibilities

• Plan out each day and communicate to the crew members what activities are to be accomplished.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the Grading Operations Manager and Safety Manager as needed.
• Coordinate, direct and lead workers engaged in the construction activities.
• Supervise crews to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork and pride.
• Review and verify employee time sheets for accuracy before submitting to the timekeepers/Payroll.
• Analyze and resolve worker issues; work with HR on harassment issues when needed.
• Communicate with maintenance staff about maintenance needs on all major pieces of equipment on assigned jobs.
• Relate to the public and to customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner.
• Follow daily Foreman procedures and protocols as set forth in orientations and trainings.
• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit; work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to travel to job sites across North and West Texas; may include frequent overnight stays.
