Job summary

H2ajobs in Arkansas is seeking a farm worker to perform quality checks and handle crops in bin storage, including moisture sampling, grading and sorting corn, rice, and soybeans. You will move loads, communicate with drivers, and record load identifications. English proficiency is required.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in extreme heat, humidity, wind, and cold. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with weekly transportation to grocery stores when needed.

Perform quality checks and controls on crops in bin storage such as sample moisture, monitor lids; Climb rungs and ensure snow and rain are not entering storage; Discard rotten crop or foreign matter; Grade and sort crops such as corn, rice, soybeans according to factors such as variety, moisture and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Move loads to point of storage; Communicate with driver in loading trailer; Record grade or identification numbers on loads and shipping. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
